The Drop Zone. You may start on either side of a wall. There are frequently aliens here that drop from the vents overhead. Marines should move out from this area as soon as they land. You may want to clear the area to the north before venturing any further. |

This is the location of the hive. The queen is usually here with up to 40 drones and a number of face huggers. Because of the layout of the ship, the queen is often somewhere other than here. |

These markers indicate elevators that take you to different levels of the ship. Aliens often attack in the elevators, and it is difficult to fight them in such close quarters. Be very wary of elevators and their entrances. |

Caution: these markers indicate overhead openings in the ventilation system. Aliens frequently drop from these openings if you pass underneath them. Be careful in these areas! There are other openings in the ventilation system, but these appear to be the most active. |

These markers indicate the location of ladders which provide access to the ventilation system. Aliens frequent these access points, so be careful: there may be an alien just waiting at the top of the ladder to kill you. |
| The alien infestation on this ship is one of the worst I have encountered. They are using the ventilation system extensively and will jump out of these vents with alarming frequency. I highly recommend getting out of the hallway that leads from the drop zone as quickly as possible, as the aliens like to attack in these close quarters often, frequently emerging from the rooms that line this corridor. |
