The Drop Zone. You may start anywhere in this large outdoor area. There are frequently aliens here that drop from the vents overhead. Marines should move out from this area as soon as they land. The doors are likely to be sealed on your arrival, so the only way into the complex is via the vent ladders and the warehouses in the NE and SE. This is the location of the hive. The queen is usually here with a few drones and a number of face huggers. The hive is deep inside the irrigation tunnels, and there are fewer drones guarding the queen than in other infestations we've encountered. Because you will have to wade through hip deep water to reach her, the reasoning for this becomes rather obvious.
These markers indicate elevators that take you to different levels of the complex. Aliens often attack in the elevators, and it is difficult to fight them in such close quarters. Be very wary of elevators and their entrances. Caution: these markers indicate overhead openings in the ventilation system. Aliens frequently drop from these openings if you pass underneath them. Be careful in these areas!
NOTE: There are other openings in the ventilation system, but these appear to be the most active.
This marker indicates the location of the ladder which provides access to the irrigation system control room. When there are few aliens left, one or two may be hiding in this often overlooked location. These markers indicate the location of lifts which facilitate access to the irrigation system ventilation house and the irrigation tunnels. Aliens very frequently attack in these tight spaces. Be Careful!!
This marker indicates the location of the maintenance tunnel which provides access to the irrigation system ventilation house. There may be a number of face huggers and/or drones patrolling this access tunnel, so be careful.

The alien infestation on this colony is very bad. They are using the ventilation system extensively and also can traverse the irrigation tunnels with great speed, as the water does not seem to much hinder their movement. I highly recommend going straight to the hive via the irrigation ventilation house. There is a maintenance tunnel leading to the afforementioned structure which can be accessed from the rear of the NE storehouse. I recommend you take your strike team by that route, moving double-time until you reach the head of the irrigation tunnels, then proceed using standard fireteam tactics. Be wary of the openings in the ceiling of these tunnels: Aliens WILL drop from them.
